Autumn Classes 2022

Two models in a fabulous setting, high ceilings, spacious and airy. Demonstrations each week of key drawing techniques. No need to book, just turn up. Ample free parking. (To find the car park make two lefts and a right along St Catherine’s Road.)

	Wednesdays 10.00am – 12.30pm
1	05-10-22	Line and Tone Quick Sketch Use the side of the charcoal to loosely swoosh around the figure to lay in some broad sweeps. Then carefully pick out a few key lines to suggest detail. Demonstration
2	12-10-22	Extreme poses Capture dynamic action of figures frozen in motion. Be flexible in your approach. Perhaps return to a figure if you do not have time. Perhaps put the body of one pose onto the legs of another. Demonstration
3	19-10-22	Erased Tone the paper with a light layer of charcoal. Then work your drawing with the putty eraser and additional layers of charcoal. Demonstration
4	26-10-22	Getting It All In Make an effort to set the figure into the frame of the page. Use a viewfinder and make corrections, rather than settle for cutting off. Demonstration
5	02-11-22	Portrait Get the faces right. Work from a single point of reference, the eyes, and gradually construct the face. Demonstration

Payment

· Autumn Classes starting on 5th October 2022 (5 classes) £75 Cash, cheques and cards. Cash and cheques preferred. Cheques should be made payable to Derek Batty.

· A single class – just turn up: £19.00

You can use your old vouchers and any class credits to set against the cost of the classes

Models tip: voluntary donation at the end of the class - suggested amount 80p.
